SUI PARK: GARDEN OF HUMANS

MARCH 9 - APRIL 8,

OPENING RECEPTION: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 3:00 - 5:00 PM

Using an estimated 365,000 plastic cable ties of various lengths, artist Sui Park will create a wonderland of natural honeycomb shapes from mass-produced industrial materials. Carefully crafted by interweaving art and sustainability, this fascinating installation invites viewers to contemplate the complex relationship between nature and human impact. Pack's work in the Kingsborough Community College Art Gallery provokes reflection on the deep meanings placed on the natural world in an increasingly industrialized society.

Through the fusion of synthetic materials and organic forms, Park's installation raises questions about our role in shaping the environment and the consequences of our actions. Exploring the tension between manufactured materials and the inherent beauty of nature, the artist invites us to reflect on our collective responsibility to preserve and nurture our planet.

In addition to exploring the visually stunning exhibition, visitors also have the opportunity to delve deeper into the intellectual aspects of the installation by perusing the annotated bibliography. This curated collection of references provides a comprehensive exploration of the artist's inspirations, techniques, and broader themes addressed in the artwork. By offering an annotated bibliography, Park encourages scholarly dialogue and allows viewers to take a deeper interest in the multifaceted dimensions of the installation. If you are also interested in an annotated biography, but you are not an expert in this matter, you can buy an annotated bibliography on any topic.

As viewers immerse themselves in this thought-provoking installation, they are encouraged to reflect on the complex interactions between nature and industry, ultimately contributing to a deeper understanding of our place in the wider ecosystem and the urgent need for sustainable practices.
