oh, snap!  Kam salutes 180 years of photography, 1839-2019

To celebrate the recent donation of photographs from The Museum Project, the Kingsborough Art Museum will present four special exhibitions that commemorate the 180th Anniversary of Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre's 1839 announcement of a new process to fix images--the daguerreotype.  Although Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and William Henry Fox Talbot had also been developing their own photographic processes, Daguerre was the first to announce and popularize the medium that would change and help shape our experience of the world.

Oh, Snap! begins with Intriguing Images: The Museum Project, a selection of photographs from the Museum Project's recent donation of photographs to Kingsborough Community College.
